Description

Up for sale is a brand new 1/250 British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-BNLY (222246) by PPC.

This frame was delivered new to British Airways in Feb 1993, named City of Swansea until 2002 the frame got renamed “City of Swansea” Mar 2019 and painted in “Landor (1984-1997) retro” special colours Mar 2019. This was one of 3 retro 747s that British Airways operated. The other two were G-BYGC  wearing the BOAC retro scheme and G-CIVB  wearing the Negus scheme. The frame was withdrawn from service in Mar 2020 and stored at Bournemouth and Cardiff where its currently Preserved at Dunsfield.

This model aircraft is made from resin and plastic and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Wooster, Herpa, Skymarks and Hogan models.
