Up for sale is a brand new 1/48 USAAF United States Army Air Force North American P-51C Mustang “Princess Elizabeth” 43-25147 (HA8516) by Hobby Master.
P-51C 43-25147 was constructed in 1943 and was flown by Lt. William Wisner of the 352nd FG/487th FS. On June 6, 1944, D-Day Wisner‘s P-51 “Queen Elizabeth” was hit by flak and crash landed. Wisner evaded capture and was saved by Canadian forces. Wisner had a total of 15.5 victories. It has been said he was unhappy with the aircraft’s name as it was not his choice but was done as a request to honour the later Queen Elizabeth. Later, parts of the aircraft along with some Israeli P-51 parts the aircraft was restored and eventually ended up as “Princess Elizabeth” again and in 2007 joined “The Gathering of Mustangs & Legends”. The C model Mustang was a B model made in the Dallas, Texas factory of NAA.
This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and plastic and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Century Wings, Calibre Wings and Forces of Valor.
