Up for sale is a brand new 1:400 scale Qantas Airbus A350-1000ULR VH-OJA by Aviation400, to be used for the “Project Sunrise” flights.This aircraft is named “Vega” after the flying boats that conducted the early Project Sunrise flights nearly 100 years ago.

After 5 years of flirting with the idea, on Monday May 2nd, 2022, Qantas finally locked in an order for the Airbus A350-1000 to operate the “Project Sunrise” flights from the east coast of Australia to London and New York, non-stop. To celebrate the order, Airbus flew across one of their demonstrator aircraft, F-WMIL, and decked it out with Qantas decals for some marketing fun.

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, NG Models, Phoenix Models, JC Wings, and Aeroclassics.
