Up for sale is a brand new 1/72 RAF ROYAL AIR FORCE LOCKHEED MARTIN F-35 LIGHTNING II ZM148 (HA4614) by Hobbymaster.
The Lockheed F-35 is an advanced stealth fifth generation fighter combining speed and superb agility. There are three variants; F-35A, B and C. The F-35A CTOL (Conventional Take Off and Landing) and has four internal weapons stations in two weapons bays plus three optional external weapons stations. The F-35B STOVL (Short Take Off Vertical Landing) variant while the F-35C is a CV (Carrier Variant). The F-35 will replace the USAF A-10 and F-16, the F/A-18 for the USN and the F/A-18 and AV-8B Harrier for the USMC.
On May 1, 2021 HMS Queen Elizabeth sailed from Portsmouth to take part in “Operation Strike Warrior/ Operation Fortis 2021”. This is the first operational deployment of the UK Carrier Strike Group since 2011. This is the largest deployment in the world of the F-35. It is also the first time the ship has sailed with a full complement. One of the F-35s onboard is ZM148 (BK-14) modex 014. The aircraft was seen in “Beast Mode” armament, two internal Paveway IV, two AIM-132 and two AIM-120 AMRAAMs. Up to 22,000 lbs of firepower.
