Up for sale is a brand new 1/72 French Air Force (Armee De L’Air) Dassault Mirage 2000-5 EC 1/2  (HA1619) by Hobby Master.

Designed as a light air-superiority fighter the Dassault Mirage 2000 was able to use the delta-wing shape again. Its wing is shaped is similar to the Mirage III but with slats and small canards. It is fly-by-wire so it can react to control changes much faster than a human. The 2000 was chosen as the main fighter in the French Air Force inventory. It was also sold to several other countries despite having to compete with the F-16 and 18.

Escadron de Chasse 1/2 Cigognes (EC 1/2 Cigognes) is one of the most prestigious fighter squadrons in the French Air and Space Force (Armee de l’air et de l’espace). The squadron is based at BA 116 Luxeuil-Saint Sauveur Air Base and is historically significant, tracing its origins back to World War I, with famous French aces like Georges Guynemer flying under its banner.

In modern times, EC 1/2 Cigognes has flown the Dassault Mirage 2000-5, a multirole fighter jet designed for air superiority and interception. The Mirage 2000-5 variant includes advanced avionics, improved radar systems, and is capable of carrying air-to-air missiles such as the MICA.
