Up for sale is a brand new 1/500 British Airways Boeing 747-100 G-AWNN “Farewell 747” (534857) by Herpa.
To commemorate the final retirement of BA’s 747 fleet, Herpa have gone back to the beginning with this Negus liveried -100 series. One of 19 in the original fleet, BOAC (BA’s predecessor) was the sixth airline to order these aircraft for a service entry in 1969. The 747 was finally withdrawn in 2020.
This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Aeroclassics, Phoenix Models, JC Wings, NG Model and Aviation400.
