Up for sale is a brand new 1/200 CSA CZECH AIRLINES ILYUSHIN IL-18 OK-PAH (571333) by Herpa
As a satellite state of the Soviet Union, the former Czechoslovakia was obliged to use Russian aircraft for its military and commercial fleets. The Il-18 was operated by both. It is a large turboprop airliner that first flew in 1957 and became one of the best known and most durable Soviet aircraft of its era. The Il-18 was one of the world’s principal airliners for several decades and was widely exported. Due to the aircraft’s airframe durability, many examples achieved over 45,000 flight hours and the type remains operational in both military and (to a lesser extent) civilian capacities.
This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Inflight200, JC Wings, NG Models and Aviation200.
