Description

Up for sale is a brand new 1/200 Continental Express De Havilland Canada DHC-7 Dash-7 N47RM (571180)  by Herpa.

Designed and built by De Havilland Aircraft Company of Canada at Downsview, Toronto, the DHC-7 Dash-7 was part of a family of aircraft specifically developed for use in the rough Canadian wilderness and capable of facing the wide ranging weather conditions.
The type was offered as a regional airliner with greater capacity than the smaller Twin Otter to compete with twin turboprop aircraft such as the Convair 580 and the HS748.  Rocky Mountain Airways, now Continental Express was the launch customer for the type. The Dash -7 is not a common type with just over 100 being built. Less than half that number are still in service.

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Inflight, Gemini Jets, JC Wings and Aviation200.
