Up for sale is an as new 1/48 Luftwaffe – German Air Force Messerschmitt Me 262 “MARINE 24” (98156) by Franklin Mint.

This Me 262  is an unusual aircraft in that it is one of only a few jets to serve in WW2. This aircraft model is a what if depiction of a “Schwalbe” if it served in a maritime environment. Consensus is that it would not have been a practical solution for Germany’s late war needs.

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Corgi, Gemini Jets, JC Wings, Witty Wings, Century Wings, NG Models and Aviation72.
