Description

Up for sale is a brand new 1/72 RAF Royal Air Force Bell AH-1 Cobra (AA39004)by Corgi.

This model replicates the Westland Lynx AH.1 (XZ666) operated by the British Army Air Corps 655 Squadron (The Scottish Horse) during Operation Banner in Omagh, Northern Ireland, in 1983. In 1982, 655 Squadron phased out their Westland Scouts for the Lynx AH.1 utility helicopter at Shackleton Barracks. Placed under Operation Banner, “Damien” was outfitted with nine passenger seats to rapidly deploy and support military foot patrols alongside the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC). The actual airframe flew over 7,000 hours before being retired in 2008 as a ground instructional trainer.

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Hobby Master, Gemini Jets, JC Wings, Witty Wings, Century Wings, NG Models and Aviation72.

Includes display stand.
