HAVE A MAN WHO IS HARD TO BUY FOR?
You are in the right place.
Do you have a special man in your life and you’re scratching your head, desperately trying to figure out what on earth to get him? It could be your dad, brother, uncle, grandpa or cousin. Two things are for sure: his sock drawer is already overflowing, and he definitely didn’t hide that confused look when he unwrapped the cologne you bought him last year (he hasn’t forgotten… and yes, he thinks you think he smells).
So what do you buy for a man who’s impossible to buy for?
Have you ever considered a model aircraft?
It’s not as wild as it sounds. Think about it: how often does he whip out FlightRadar24 the moment a jet thunders overhead? How many times have you seen him glued to the terminal windows at the airport, watching planes taxi and take off like it’s the greatest show on earth? Does he often redirect conversions about modern air travel to discuss the glory years of TAA and Ansett?
Exactly. There might just be something to this.

Common FAQ’s
Q: I’m really confused by the scales and sizes, can you help?
A: Yes! It is really simple to calculate the length and wingspan of each model aircraft. Simply google the aircraft type you are looking at, the divide the length and wingspan (in metres) by the scale and multiply by 100. This will give you the length and wingspan of the model in cm. Let’s work through an example using this 1:250 scale Ansett Boeing 747-400.
- Google “Boeing 747-400” and open Wikipedia.
- Scroll to ‘Specifications’ and note the length = 70.66m and wingspan = 64.44m
- Divide the length and wingspan by 250 and multiply by 100. Length: 70.66*100/250 = 28.3cm. Wingspan: 64.44*100/250 = 25.8cm.
If this is too slow, simply open the product and click on the ‘Additional Information’ tab.
If you require the length and wingspan in inches, please seek psychological help (just kidding – just divide everything by another 2.54).
Q: How do I know what the model is made out of?
A: Simply open the product and the description will tell you whether it is made out of diecast metal or plastic resin.
Q: Do you post interstate? How much does shipping cost?
A: We don’t only post interstate, we ship worldwide! The good news is that if you add an item to your cart, then view your cart, there is function that will allow you to calculate the postage cost.
