Collectors Aircraft Models Australia now provides a custom made aircraft model service.

We can accommodate your requirement for a specific aircraft type, livery, registration, squadron, aircraft number etc in our custom built service.    Provided copyright and licensing laws are not breached and artwork is either provided or available we can make the model of your choice.

We can also provide Nose Art, Tail Shields & Plaques.

Our products are made of wood and sometimes metal parts for aerials, communication domes etc to replicate the real craft.  These beautiful, handmade authentic replicas are made from the very finest grade of select kiln-dried Philippine mahogany wood.

Our models are made entirely by hand, from the hand carving of the fuselage, wings and tail section; to the sanding of the aircraft's contours.  Every part is assembled precisely into place using the highest quality adhesive available.

After shaping and sanding, the model passes through several stages of priming and sanding before it is hand-painted to duplicate the actual paint-scheme and markings of the real aircraft.  Our artisans' detail from researched reference materials, including all the insignias, squadron, badges, nose-art, emblems and serial numbers, to replicate the original aircraft to scale.

Next, multiple coats of clear lacquer varnish are applied to protect the exquisite artwork and to provide an overall glossy finish.   Matt finishes are available.

Our models are true works of art since no two models are exactly the same.

Each model is provided with a stand of your choice - stained mahogany, flat black, glossy black or natural.     Logos can be applied to stands at additional cost.

Undercarriages are not normally fitted unless it is a feature of the aircraft (fixed) or by special request.

Prices vary according to the complexity of aircraft design, livery, detail and size.

Discounts apply to bulk orders of 8 or more of an identical model.

Lead-time is approximately 6 - 8 weeks from the date of your confirmation order.
